Easter!

Before we get to all the fun, candy and commercial stuff of Easter, I just wanted to take a second and remember the true meaning of Easter. Jesus Christ is our Savior and did the thing none of us could do for ourselves. He overcame death for each one of us. He loves us and is there waiting with open arms and the power of the Atonement so each of us can be forgiven and overcome death as well and stand spotless before our creator. But only through the Atonement of Jesus Christ is this possible. Our Bishop extend the challenge for each member of the ward to study the Atonement and write a one page summary of what they learned/their testimony and this has been a wonderful experience. I have learned so much and really tried to apply the atonement in my life. It is amazing to me how loving our Savior is and how he really can make our weaknesses strengths if we repent and forsake our sins. I know our Savior died so we could live again. And I am so grateful for that. But since I have kids it means so much more to me. I love my kids more then anything I would sacrifice anything for them even my own life. But I could not provide the Atonement or forgiveness for them, only Christ can. And for that, the fact that he provided a way for my children means more to me then that he did it for me. Another picture heavy post. But a picture is worth a thousand words, so really I am writing a lengthy post...think about it. These are pictures from our Easter vacation in Idaho. It was a super fun weekend. We left early early grandpa tearly Saturday morning because I had two intramural games on Friday night that I had to stay for. It was a good thing I stayed because my flag football team only had 5 payer(you're suppose to have 7) and if I wasn't there they would have had to forfeit, and we ended up winning...20-6! And we played 5 on 7. I was pretty proud. My other game did not go so well. My basketball team got killed! All I have to say is the other team was really good. Most of the team was on the BYU soccer team(so they majorly out ran us) and one girl even played on the BYU Basketball team so I don't feel too bad about losing. Anyways on Saturday afternoon Cody's sister Heidi went through the Temple. It was such an awesome day. I reminded me of when I went through before we got married. It was about this time in April and was a sunny warm day like it was for Heidi. It was really special to share this experience with her. Congrats Heidi, you are an awesome sister and aunt. Then on Sunday we had a wonderful Easter, complete with Church, Easter Baskets, Easter Egg Hunt and a wonderful family dinner. We love going to Idaho and had a great time. 

So this is how our pictures turned out Easter morning. The camera was out in the car and it was really cold and we got it out right before we let the kids get their baskets. So the lens fogged up and they would not wait for it to warm up...so not so great pictures.

Lens still foggy and never mind Maren pulling up her nightgown. We need to have a talk about modesty. As you can see Maren got some hair accessories for Easter and Broc got a new tie(not pictured).  In my family the girls always got a new Easter dress and the boys got a tie. So we got Broc his first tie. But Maren has about 1000 dresses. She has so many she has grown out of some before she has got a chance to wear them! So we did not get her a new dress but Cody was freaking out because she had nothing to wear in her hair, so we got her some bows and headbands instead.

But of course, typical Broc after finding a few eggs he is more interested in the horses next door and picking up their balls of poop on this side of the fence.

Maren and her basket. She even got a few eggs. This is to all the Robinsons...I think she has the Robinson disease. Her eyes get really little when she smiles. 

There is a better one of her beautiful blue eyes. I hope they stay that way, just like her dad's.

After the Easter Egg Hunt of course it broke down into mayhem. Kids just running around crazy. But that is the funniest part right? Broc fell down every 10 seconds but oh well. Mud and grass stain are no big deal.

Broc wasn't really interested in his eggs until he realized there was candy inside. Then all he wanted to do was open them and eat the candy.

So we have been up to a lot lately. I know it is a TON of pictures but when I read peoples blogs that is all I really want to see so I assume it is the same with who ever looks at mine. So why not give the people what they want. These pictures are just what I see around the house on any given day.

This is Broc's new favorite thing to do. Climb up on the end table(its behind the couch) and then flip over the arm of the couch and then run around the couch and do it again...like 20 times in a row.

Then this is the face we see after he gets hurt flipping over the couch. It is very sad. But he knows how to milk it to his advantage. 

Whenever I bake/cook anything the door of the oven feels warm, so he blows on it to cool it off(don't worry it doesn't get hot enough to hurt him)

He likes to hide, and he is really good at it. Sometimes it takes me a few mins to find him because he can be really still and really quite. Anyways he was hiding behind the towel and thinks its so funny when I find him.

So we didn't go to church for like over a month because Maren got RSV and it can be contagious for up to three weeks and there are tons of babies in our ward...anyways this was the first Sunday we all went to Church for all three hours.

Broc loves to play with blocks. Or rather he loves me to build him things he can knock down in a very violent manner.

I am a crossing guard and work in the mornings, so Cody watches the kids during that time. So one morning I can home to this...Broc loves his sister!

I got a new stroller! It is a great jogging stroller and hooks up to a bike. This picture is deceiving... Broc actually really likes to go on walks/runs and go to the park in the stroller. The weather has been BEAUTIFUL so we have used it a lot.
